CESI’s contributions reach past individual debt management and into the community.  In 2004, the 4th Annual Lamplighter Awards presented CESI with the Cathy Hughes Business Community Service Award.  The Annual Lamplighter Awards, sponsored by 103.9 The Light, honor and acknowledge organizations that show outstanding displays of community service and volunteerism.

When Cumberland County School Systems could no longer maintain the Junior Achievement Program , CESI’s volunteer efforts and community coordinator re-established the program.  The JA (Junior Achievement Program) is a world-renowned organization that helps prepare students for the workforce through community involvement, volunteer efforts, and hands-on education.
