Financial Education

We can help you get out of debt. But to ensure a healthy financial future, you need the tools and knowledge to make smart money decisions. That’s why CESI offers a variety of educational resources to help you better manage your finances and continue living debt-free.

Learn to live debt-free

You can take advantage of all of our resources for free. Our online educational materialthe CESI Fiscal Fitness Curriculum, Money Smart, and Money in Motion are self-paced instructional programs you can do from home. They teach the financial management skills you need including money management, responsible credit card use, budgeting and debt management. Additional educational tools and resources include our financial calculators, our bi-monthly newsletter and special white papers. We also recommend www.making-change.org andwww.spendingonmainstreet.org as other online resources for financial literacy and money management information.

Educating the community

CESI is committed to providing strong community outreach programs to the public. We offer classes and workshops through a variety of community organizations and groups who’ve partnered with us to promote financial literacy. We work with local colleges and universities, including Fayetteville State University, Methodist College, the University of North Carolina at Pembroke and Fayetteville Technical Community College to provide campus workshops for college students. These programs focus on helping students learn how to avoid the “credit card trap” as well as teaching them budgeting skills to better manage their personal finances. CESI also conducts workshops through Junior Achievement for students in elementary and high school.
